The Health Care Revival Initiative has received international recognition through publication in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Public Health, February 2002 and on the website of Africana.com, October 3, 2001. The distribution of Health Information and the number of Health Screenings have increased each year. Early Detection of life - altering diseases has been identified annually.
Participation of community residents and friends in the Health Care Revivall has increased since 1997. Utilization of Health Center Services has also increased following each Revival. In collaboration with community partners, various community-friendly documents have been developed and distributed to the community. These include an Health Care Revivall Annuall Community Health Report Card for Mattapan and Hyde Park. Each year, a Community Service Award is presented to an individual or group who has been part of the solution for Mattapan.
