The Mattapan Community Health Center (MCHC) has a long-standing, distinguised, board of directors, who are residents of the area we serve and who also receive their health care here too. The significance of this relationship is that the community can be assured that MCHC provides the kind of top notch health care to our patients that we would want for ourselves. Additionally, our board develops collaborative partnerships within the community and tracks local developments that may impact health center services. Overall, the Board of Directors are here to make sure that MCHC meets its goals and objectives in response to the challenge of caring for the health our growing and more culturally diverse community. Thus, Mattapan Community Health Center has commenced building a new, state-of-the-art health care facility which will open in the spring of 2012. In the meantime, MCHC will continue providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate, affordable health care, at our current location, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
