Rock the Boat is Mattapan Community health Center's signature Fundraising Gala, which began in 1997. The goals of this Gala are to raise funds for our work, recruit friends and to honor individuals who are making significant contribution to the Community Health Center Movement. The 1997 Gala se in motion the framework for the Health Center's Annual Galas, which was held every April on Boston's premier cruise tour ship, Spirit of Boston. In 2006, because of the success of our gala, we relocated to a larger venue on land.

In 2012 the Gala will again bring together more than 500 of Boston's stakeholders for a special evening at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. The evening will be filled with excitement and enthusiasm beginning with a Cocktail Reception, followed by Dinner, Awards Ceremony -- Community Health Pinnacle Award, a silent auction and ROCKin' to live music. We are proud that "Rock the Boat" has become synonymous with a "Night to Remember!" as well as a "Good Time Event".

Selecting Community Health Pinnacle Award Honorees for this star-studded evening is a thoughtful process. We look to members of the Boston community who are bringing inspiring energy and new ideas as well as their professional dedication to the work of bringing better health care to all. The Health Center has raised more than $3 million since 1997. Participation has increased more than 30% and sponsorships have increased significantly since the beginning. Our goal is to raise $400-500k annually. Please consider becoming a sponsor of ROCK THE BOAT.
