Zhen Ruan, RDH is a licensed dental hygienist. He has completed an accredited dental hygiene education program and is licensed by the state board of dental examiners to provide preventive care services under the supervision of a dentist. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene at Forsyth Dental of MCPHS University. As a dental hygienist, his goal is to provide quality health care services to patients and educate them on preventive dental care.

His services include performing routine prophylaxis, reviewing patient’s complaints, radiographs, periodontal charting, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatment, oral hygiene instructions, and treatment planning. His services include polishing patients' teeth; removing hard and soft deposits from teeth; and using specialized tools to remove tartar, plaque, and stains. Performing extra- and intra-oral exams, periodontal, and dental exams. Conducting patient history reviews, Vital sign checks, Radiographs, and Risk Assessments. He has a special interest in providing periodontal treatment.

In Zhen’s off time, he enjoys playing tennis, reading, hiking with his dog, and biking. He looks forward to attending Yankee Dental every year for continuing education and to learn about new dental treatments, products, and services.
