The Pediatrics Staff at Mattapan Community Health Center provides competent and compassionate quality health care to the youth of the Mattapan and Hyde Park communities. The Pediatrics Staff includes pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants all dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care to your children. This includes routine physicals, same day visits for urgent problems and follow up appointments for chronic problems such as asthma, as well as telephone advice for a sick or injured child.

We take a holistic approach to caring for your child by evaluating his or her growth and development, making sure their immunizations are up to date, counseling on healthy lifestyles and assessing how well they’re doing in school and with their peers. Referrals are made to specialists as needed.

A pediatrician, nurse practitioner or experienced pediatric nurse is available after hours for telephone advice.

The Pediatric Team at Mattapan Community Health Center will take care of your children from birth, through their school-age years, and into young adulthood. Your pediatric provider will assess your child’s health care needs, provide health education, and offer resources and support as your child grows and develops throughout the years. Our services include:

  • Physicals, immunizations, well child care
  • Sick visits
  • Behavioral health
  • Health education
  • On-site laboratory services
  • Pharmacy services
  • Case management

Mattapan Community Health Center also has pediatric specialists in Behavioral Health, Dental, and (coming soon) Eye Care.

All children 5 and under are automatically enrolled in Reach Out and Read a program that promotes the importance of reading aloud to young children and gives every child a free book at check-ups until they are five years old. Help build your child’s library!
